POTENTRx™ fitness assessments address the needs of people seeking to increase their general fitness. The comprehensive assessments combine a series of tests that enable our staff to understand your current level of fitness and create a training prescription that utilizes training zones based on your physiological capabilities.
POTENTRx™ fitness programs are designed to optimize your health and fitness using scientifically determined training zones relative to your physiological capabilities, monitored and modified as you train. The goal of every program is to effectively and efficiently increase muscular strength, endurance and flexibility, improve cardiovascular capacity and economy, and develop efficient movement skills. All programs are based on a fitness assessment, and proceed across twelve weeks according to choices you make regarding the type and amount of support you need. Program components may include 1) a consultation with physician, 2) exercise education and demonstration, 3) scheduled phone support, 4) periodic monitoring and training adjustments, 5) personal training, and 6) follow-up testing to measure results.
POTENTRx offers individual services that provide important training information for you or support the training plan your personal trainer is providing for you. Following the testing, our staff prepares a complete report aligning results to previous testing and or health care goals and, on your authorization, transmits these data to the personnel of your choice.
Tim is an avid cyclist who planned to ride 600 miles across Europe. Because of his medical history, Tim was told by multiple physicians and cardiologists that he would not be able to do so because his heart and health wouldn't be able to handle the stress. However, in seeing Dr. Speck and the POTENTRx team, it was determined that he would be able to safely make the 600 mile trek.
